Biggest Bulk Bag Discharging Problems

  1. Unsafe Bag Handling: Do your operator reach under suspended bulk bags? Are they required to stick their hands or arms between the bag and moving parts of the discharging equipment? Do they have an awkward reach to untie the bag outlet spout? If any of the above is true, your employees are exposed to a safety hazard.

  2. Dusting: Is your bulk bag discharging area a mess? Do your operators dislike discharging bags because they can’t stand the dust emissions? Do they have to wear dust masks when unloading bulk bags? If so, you are drastically reducing your productivity and potentially exposing your employees to a serious health hazard.

  3. Poor Flow: Do your operators have to manually manipulate bulk bags to induce ingredient flow (i.e. hit it with a stick!)? Do you have to baby sit your bulk bag discharger to make sure product flows constantly? If so, you’re not as profitable as you could be.

  4. Poor Yield: Do you have an unacceptably large amount of product left in the bag after it has supposedly been emptied? Do your operators have to manually shake out the bag to properly empty them? If so, you are not as profitable and productive as you could be.

  5. Weak Equipment: Does your bulk bag discharging equipment require frequent maintenance? Do some of the moving parts no longer work and you’ve given up fixing them? Is equipment failure causing poor flow, yield and/or dusting? If so, you are paying too much for your bulk bags.

If any of the above sounds familiar, Control and Metering can help.

Our mission is to provide the right bulk bag filling experience.
